Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is seeking multiple self-starters with a passion for building relationships to drive sales of their lifting equipment in some of the most desirable regions of the United States. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your territory by developing strategic plans to expand sales and achieve the company’s sales and aftersales goals through key account customers.

We have opportunities available in the following locations:

  • Northeast
  • Midwest
  • Southeast

Your Mission:

  • Develop and execute a prospecting & expansion strategy
  • Maintain & nurture existing business relationships within your territory
  • Actively review financial goals while keeping accurate expense data
  • Support end-users by providing appropriate product demos and training sessions that cover basic use, application, service, and warranty information
  • Actively promote the use of company services including aftersales and finance programs
  • Provide monthly, and quarterly reports for upper-level management on your territory’s sales and market share
  • Actively research market happenings within your territory to identify new growth opportunities
  • Identify and become an expert on the competition
  • Analyze market data and trends to suggest adjustments to pricing and product types
  • Work cross-functionally with product support to resolve technical issues promptly
  • Relay customer product issues to product support & engineering
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing on communicating new product launches and advancements
  • Assist marketing with developing plans for trade shows and other events
  • Be an active member of industry associations

A Few Qualifiers:

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience required
  • Heavy machinery sales experience required
  • Proven knowledge of material handling equipment
  • Microsoft Office Expert (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc).
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Sound ability to build relationships within an organization
  • Travel of at least 60%
