Our client, a leading global equipment manufacturer, is in search of an exceptional leader poised to redefine the landscape of sales and business strategy. As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, you will spearhead strategic initiatives across various facets, including sales, marketing, product management, training, and sales administration. Your success in this pivotal role, integral to the senior leadership team, hinges on your ability to craft and execute dynamic strategic plans, drive impactful change, and ensure adherence to key performance metrics driving company objectives. With a hands-on approach, you will actively drive improvements in channel development, dealer relationships, market share expansion, gross margin optimization, and customer satisfaction. 

Your Mission:

  • Design and lead a strategic approach to amplify sales, marketing, and training efforts, driving profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the creation, direction, and management of the sales, product marketing, training, and sales administration departments’ financial goals
  • Design and enact strategic business efforts, including an action plan for the dealer network, rental channel, and key accounts, to enhance the market penetration of the company’s product offerings
  • Enhance the company’s image and improve customer relationships by actively solving customer needs and driving resolutions
  • Establish performance and business goals for all reports, and carry out annual or as-required performance evaluations to assess the fulfillment of these objectives
  • Guide and support sales teams in identifying promising markets; discover, attract, initiate, and cultivate customer relationships
  • Evaluate and endorse proposals for new dealers while managing and refining the process
  • Create and keep updated a manual for prospective new dealers.
  • Aid dealer sales teams in growing and developing both existing and new dealerships by introducing and applying effective business practices
  • Create retail and rental sales and inventory goals for equipment tailored to the industry’s potential and local sales and market share targets
  • Actively track retail and rental goals, making adjustments in response to market shifts and expectations for expansion
  • Utilize market research including analysis of regional dealers’ performance to identify where improvements can be made
  • Assist in creating and implementing annual dealer marketing plan & business review
  • Create and implement improvement strategies for under-performing dealers
  • Manage training programs and monitor effectiveness
  • Provide sales updates monthly and revise plans of operations accordingly
  • Serve as the executive contact for large accounts/customers
  • Lead teams with an engaging, open, honest approach while setting standards for high performance
  • Travel up to 75%

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years sales experience
  • 8+ years demonstrated experience in channel consulting/management
  • Experience with construction machinery required
  • Proven ability to significantly increase revenue
  • Diligent, disciplined and highly organized
  • Senior leadership level knowledge of business financials, metrics, marketing, and sales and service operations
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office suite
