Our client, a capital equipment manufacturer, is seeking an exceptional leader who possesses an unmatched fervor and dedication to amplify sales and refine business strategy. As the Vice President of Sales focusing on National Accounts, you’ll be a key decision-maker as you drive multi-level strategic business planning. In this seat that’s part of the senior leadership team, you’ll couple your ability to guide & motivate with your in-depth knowledge of the operational side of rental houses and municipalities to build, mentor, and champion an outside sales team. Your success will be measured by your ability to reach financial & expansion goals while cultivating an unrivaled customer experience.

Function:

  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap that includes short, medium, and long term expansion strategies for key accounts, rental houses, and municipalities
  • Lead an outside sales team with an engaging, open, honest approach while setting standards for high performance
  • Provide support and guidance for the growth and development of junior team members
  • Utilize market research to identify where improvements can be made
  • Enhance OEM profitability while ensuring seamless alignment with corporate strategy and financial targets
  • Create direct purchase programs and contracts that align with company financial and compliance standards
  • Optimize your established relationships to actively drive and capitalize on immediate growth opportunities
  • Spearhead the development or enhancement of essential capabilities required for successful engagement with targeted accounts
  • Engage in proactive communication with the executive leadership teams, providing updates on progress versus plan, execution of initiatives, and any support requirements
  • Foster collaboration with leadership across Sales, Parts, Service, Marketing, Finance, and Distribution to collectively design an unparalleled experience
  • 50% Travel

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience
  • Demonstrated sales experience at the OEM level
  • Possess an in-depth comprehension of the National Rental, Key Account, and Municipal business segments 
  • Demonstrated profound understanding of account dynamics, challenges, and opportunities
  • Proven ability to significantly increase revenue
  • Diligent, disciplined and highly organized
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office suite
