Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is looking for a technically minded strategist to create a product and marketing roadmap for their portfolio of compaction equipment. In this seat, you’ll develop and execute product-specific marketing strategies, define positioning, craft messaging, and assist in the sales process. You’ll also have the opportunity to flex your deep understanding of the market and the product while coordinating all aspects of product launch. Your success will be measured by your ability to empower all sales channels for success, enhancing the experience for dealers, key accounts, and end-users.
Your Mission
- Deeply research and understand the North American market
- Fully create and outline the product strategy including target markets, business cases, value propositions, and all required documents
- As a leader in product oversight, you will leverage market data, face-to-face time with dealers and customers, and your background expertise to make educated product-related decisions
- Stay abreast of market patterns and changes, and forecast future opportunities
- Formulate pricing and promotion plans based on competition, market prospects, and product expenses
- Lead efforts to obtain VOC through multiple channels
- Develop technical documentation and marketing content
- Champion product and application training including the development of policies, programs, and scheduling at the national, regional, and local levels for internal and external teams
- Utilize product expertise to best assist product management & aftersales
- Coordinate product strategy for tradeshows, events and group meetings while also acting as spokesperson
- Propose suggestions to senior leadership to add to, remove from, or make adjustments to the current product line
- Travel up to 50%
A Few Qualifiers
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or similar discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience with material handling equipment
- Demonstrated project management and product launch experience
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
