Our client, a respected heavy equipment dealership, is looking for a Director of Sales to lead their team to new heights. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your proven leadership ability and sales expertise to refine strategies, oversee daily operations, and inspire your team to achieve their best performance. Vital to the success of the company will be your ability to identify new opportunities for growth and foster relationships while staying ahead of market trends.

Your Mission:

  • Lead and inspire the sales team, assigning territories, managing inventory, and setting clear goals and KPIs
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and ongoing development of the sales department to ensure a high-performing team
  • Analyze sales data to forecast profitability and establish sales targets that align with business objectives
  • Act as a change agent, driving sales goals and fostering a results-driven culture
  • Identify market opportunities and customer needs to guide sales efforts
  • Address customer concerns and operational challenges with a problem-solving mindset
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, strategic planning, and sales initiatives
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to refine sales forecasts and stay ahead of industry shifts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, enhancing the overall customer experience
  • Support complex negotiations and customer visits as needed
  • Follow up on new leads and nurture long-term client relationships
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, association meetings, and networking events

A Few Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven leadership in sales, preferably within the heavy equipment industry
  • Strong ability to drive revenue growth and achieve measurable success
  • Highly disciplined, organized, and detail-oriented with a focus on results
  • Senior-level expertise in financial analysis, and sales operations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
