A respected company in the equipment space is seeking a commercially driven territory leader to help grow business across a multi-state region in the eastern US. This opportunity is centered on expanding market presence, strengthening partner relationships, and helping customers succeed through a combination of strategic account development and hands-on field engagement. You will be comfortable balancing long-range territory planning with day-to-day customer interaction, while working closely with internal teams to support growth, solve problems, and improve overall market performance.

Your Mission:

  • Create and carry out a territory growth plan focused on expanding revenue, increasing market penetration, and improving partner effectiveness
  • Build productive relationships with distributors, contractors, and other key accounts across the region
  • Evaluate current channel coverage and identify opportunities to strengthen representation in priority markets
  • Support sales development by helping partners uncover opportunities, improve account activity, and increase customer engagement
  • Spend time in the field with customers to understand application needs, support equipment selection, and encourage long-term loyalty
  • Lead equipment presentations, field visits, and customer-facing discussions that reinforce product value and practical use
  • Keep a close watch on regional conditions, customer behavior, and competitive movement to guide business decisions
  • Maintain visibility into sales activity and regional opportunities by keeping forecasts, pipeline details, and account updates current
  • Review territory performance consistently and adjust plans where needed to improve results
  • Work with internal departments to address product concerns, communicate market feedback, and support faster resolution of customer issues
  • Contribute insight that helps shape commercial priorities, product direction, and go-to-market efforts
  • Represent the business professionally in industry settings and maintain strong awareness of developments affecting the region

A Few Qualifiers:

  • 3+ years of experience in territory sales, channel development, business development, or customer-facing commercial roles within equipment or closely related industries
  • Background working with contractors, dealers, distributors, or end users in a technical or field-based sales environment
  • Strong ability to build trust, influence decisions, and maintain productive long-term business relationships
  • Comfortable discussing equipment applications, operational needs, and customer challenges in practical terms
  • Solid business judgment with the ability to manage activity, track opportunities, and support forecasting efforts
  • Proficiency with standard business software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 75% Travel
