Our client, a well-established heavy equipment company, is seeking an EHS Manager to shape and lead safety efforts across a field-based service network and multiple facilities across the country. This position is ideal for someone who can connect policy with practice, build structure around safe work habits, and support technicians operating in a wide range of service environments. The right person will bring a strong command of compliance, sound operational judgment, and the ability to turn safety expectations into everyday discipline across the business.
Your Mission
- Build and manage a health, safety, and environmental approach that supports a dispersed service workforce operating both on the road and at active job sites
- Establish clear expectations for safe vehicle use, field service activity, and day-to-day work practices tied to mobile operations
- Create and lead education initiatives that strengthen awareness, preparedness, and safe decision-making across the service team
- Review incidents, close calls, and safety concerns to identify causes, address gaps, and reduce repeat issues
- Maintain alignment with applicable regulatory standards and internal requirements through routine review, assessment, and follow-through
- Evaluate operational risk across service activity and help develop practical safeguards that improve readiness and reduce exposure
- Monitor key safety measures and provide leadership with insight into performance, trends, and areas that require attention
- Partner across teams to strengthen accountability, reinforce best practices, and support a culture where safety is treated as a business priority
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental studies, industrial health, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience leading health and safety initiatives within an industrial, service, transportation, or equipment-related setting
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and regulatory compliance in environments involving field activity, vehicles, and service operations
- Experience developing programs, leading training efforts, and managing incident response or corrective action processes
- Ability to assess risk, communicate clearly, and influence safe behaviors across teams in multiple locations
- Strong cross-functional presence with the ability to build trust and drive consistency in execution
- Professional safety credentials are helpful
- Background in heavy equipment, industrial service, or technician-led operations is preferred
- Exposure to fleet-related systems or tools that support field visibility is a plus
