Our client, an established equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to support the development of advanced mobile machinery. You will take engineering concepts from early technical requirements through machine testing and production readiness. This is an onsite position and is not available on a remote or hybrid basis.
The position combines system-level thinking with practical equipment work. You will collaborate with several engineering functions, participate in machine evaluations, and make design decisions that improve performance, reliability, serviceability, and long-term product value. Professional fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
Your Mission
- Own hydraulic development activities from initial operating requirements through final design validation.
- Convert desired machine behavior into effective circuit designs, technical specifications, and equipment configurations.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing teams to create a fully coordinated machine design.
- Review packaging, accessibility, and system interaction to identify potential concerns before equipment reaches production.
- Participate directly in prototype builds and machine evaluations, using observations and test results to guide improvements.
- Diagnose unexpected machine behavior, isolate contributing factors, and develop practical engineering solutions.
- Consider structural loading, durability, safety, production cost, and maintenance needs when making design decisions.
- Incorporate testing and field feedback into updated designs and future product-development work.
- Maintain the technical information needed to communicate design intent and support manufacturing.
A Few Qualifications
- A degree in engineering or another technical discipline relevant to mobile machinery development.
- Hydraulic engineering experience involving construction equipment, off-highway machinery, or another complex mobile product.
- A practical command of hydraulic circuits, engineering design tools, system analysis, and equipment integration.
- Hands-on experience supporting prototypes, conducting tests, and resolving technical problems across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, along with the ability to travel as needed. This position does not offer employment sponsorship.
