We are looking for a self-driven, forward-thinking person to join a global construction OEM as their next Manufacturing Engineer. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be able to leverage your strong background in manufacturing and technology to support the development, implementation, and utilization of strategies aimed at increasing plant efficiency. As a skilled communicator and expert on the latest in manufacturing equipment, you’ll be in charge of the technical training of internal staff while minimizing production downtime.
Your Mission:
- Utilize lean methods to develop and implement highly efficient manufacturing processes
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing equipment space, layout, and workflow
- Analyze current equipment and design modifications to improve process and quality
- Recommend changes to the plant floor plan in order to maximize efficiency, material flow, safety, and product movement
- Ensure product and quality by testing design methods, and finished products while establishing standards and processes
- Investigate system inefficiencies and failures to identify root causes, and propose design changes and improvements to enhance processing methodologies
- Champion internal team technical support & training for manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot issues with internal equipment
- Maintain and comply with government regulations
A Few Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with relevant equipment
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Proven leadership experience
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
