Our client, a global equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Parts Director to take ownership of a critical piece of its North American aftermarket business. This individual will lead a complex parts operation with responsibility for ensuring customers and dealers have the support they need while building a more efficient, responsive, and commercially successful organization.

This role goes well beyond keeping shelves stocked and orders moving. You will shape how the parts business operates, from determining where inventory is needed and improving how products move through the network to strengthening pricing, planning, and overall performance. Just as importantly, you will bring teams together around a clear direction and develop an organization capable of supporting continued growth.

Your Mission

  • Build and execute a clear roadmap for the parts organization, connecting day-to-day priorities with the company’s broader growth plans
  • Create a smarter approach to stocking and replenishment that keeps critical parts where customers need them without tying up unnecessary capital
  • Create greater consistency across the parts network, improving how products move from warehouses to dealers and customers
  • Strengthen demand planning and forecasting to help the business anticipate needs rather than simply react to them
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and grow the commercial contribution of the aftermarket business
  • Work directly with dealers, customers, and internal teams to understand where support is falling short and turn that feedback into meaningful improvements
  • Use performance data to uncover bottlenecks, measure progress, and make better decisions across the organization
  • Build, develop, and hold accountable a strong team capable of supporting an increasingly sophisticated parts operation
  • Introduce better tools, processes, and technology where they can improve visibility, speed, accuracy, and decision-making
  • Bring sales, service, operations, supply chain, and product teams together around a more connected approach to supporting equipment in the field

A Few Qualifications

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in aftermarket parts, supply chain, distribution, or heavy equipment operations
  • 5+ years of proven success leading multi-location or national operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, operations, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting, distribution, pricing, and financial performance
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and improving performance within an equipment business that works through a dealer network
  • Experience with ERP and inventory management platforms; SAP experience is preferred
