Our client, a global construction equipment manufacturer, is looking for someone to lead an innovative HR strategy. As the Vice President of Human Resources, you will oversee various critical functions related to benefits, payroll, recruiting, compliance, compensation, employee relations, employee training, and development within the organization. You will be pivotal in defining and implementing Human Resources initiatives that align with the company’s overall goals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. As VP of HR, you’ll leave your mark on the company and the industry as you drive the strategic direction of human resources functions and foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and inclusivity.

Your Mission:

Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute HR strategies that support company growth, diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, driving informed decision-making

Benefits Administration:

  • Develop and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other perks
  • Evaluate benefit plans to ensure competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with company goals
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefit options effectively to employees

Payroll Management:

  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, deductions, and tax filings
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll data and maintain compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Implement and maintain payroll systems and technologies to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

Recruiting and Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent, utilizing various sourcing methods and channels
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, conduct interviews, and facilitate the candidate selection process
  • Lead efforts to enhance employer branding and improve the candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

  • Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and industry trends
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with legal requirements and best practices
  • Implement compliance training programs and initiatives to educate employees and mitigate risks

Compensation Management:

  • Develop and administer compensation strategies, including salary structures, bonus programs, and incentive plans
  • Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive compensation practices and maintain internal equity
  • Advise senior management on compensation-related matters and participate in salary negotiation processes as needed

Employee Relations:

  • Foster positive employee relations by promoting a culture of respect, trust, and open communication
  • Address employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in a fair and consistent manner
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention

Employee Training and Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills, competencies, and performance
  • Identify learning and development needs across the organization and develop strategies to address them
  • Support career development initiatives, succession planning, and talent management efforts

A Few Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent HR certification is highly desirable
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in senior HR leadership roles, with a focus on benefits administration, payroll management, recruiting, compliance, compensation, employee relations, and training and development
  • Experience working with a global team is a plus
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
