Our client, a national heavy transport and specialized logistics provider, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Service Specialist to help lead equipment preparation, support daily shop and yard activity, and ensure machines are properly completed before delivery. This role is designed for someone with strong heavy equipment knowledge who can both contribute technically and help guide the work of others in a hands on environment. You will play an important role in keeping equipment moving through setup, inspection, and final completion while helping maintain quality, safety, and day to day workflow across the operation. Success in this position will come from strong mechanical judgment, leadership presence, and the ability to keep people and priorities moving in the right direction.

Your Mission:
- Oversee day to day machine preparation activities within an active heavy equipment yard or service setting
- Support and direct employees involved in equipment setup, mechanical completion, inspection, and related prep work
- Assign work based on equipment status, delivery timing, and operational priorities
- Provide day to day guidance, coaching, and support to team members performing technical work
- Assist with machine assembly tasks tied to final readiness, including component installation, attachment setup, and general machine preparation
- Support hydraulic connection work, equipment checks, and basic troubleshooting tied to machine functionality
- Review completed work to help ensure equipment is ready for delivery and meets expected standards for safety and performance
- Work from technical documentation, service information, checklists, and machine specific instructions to support accurate completion of work
- Coordinate with internal teams to keep equipment flow aligned with readiness schedules and shipment timing
- Help maintain documentation related to inspections, work completed, and machine status through digital systems or internal tools
- Promote a safe, organized, and disciplined work environment across the yard or shop
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for questions related to machine condition, readiness, and completion status
A Few Qualifications:
- Experience working with heavy equipment in a service, mechanical, or yard-based environment
- At least 3 years of experience leading or supervising technicians, mechanics, or other skilled employees
- Strong understanding of heavy equipment systems and machine readiness requirements
- Ability to support machine setup, light assembly, inspection, and basic troubleshooting
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, machine components, and service documentation
- Experience with digital inspection tools, work order systems, or similar platforms is helpful
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage quality, timing, and team coordination
- Commitment to safety, accountability, and consistent execution in a hands on setting
- Technical training in diesel, equipment service, industrial maintenance, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent experience may also be considered
