Our client, a respected equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth efforts for its offshore and nearshore equipment line. This role is designed for a senior commercial professional who understands how to develop new opportunities in specialized markets by connecting technical solutions with customer needs, project demands, and long-term growth strategy. You will play a key role in expanding market presence, strengthening relationships across the offshore sector, and helping position the business as a preferred partner in a complex, project-driven environment.

This opportunity offers the chance to take ownership of a product category that supports offshore, marine, port, and foundation-related applications. Success in the role will come from a combination of business development ability, technical credibility, commercial instincts, and the confidence to work independently while engaging effectively with contractors, developers, engineers, consultants, port authorities, and internal leadership.

Your Mission

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for the company’s offshore and nearshore equipment portfolio
  • Identify, pursue, and advance opportunities tied to offshore wind, offshore energy construction, marine infrastructure, coastal works, and port and harbor projects
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, EPC firms, developers, marine construction companies, port authorities, consultants, and other strategic accounts
  • Guide customers through equipment selection, application fit, and solution development for offshore, marine, and foundation-related projects
  • Lead early-stage project pursuit through proposal development, commercial discussions, negotiation, and contract award
  • Partner with internal teams across engineering, product support, operations, marketing, and leadership to advance opportunities effectively
  • Track pipeline activity, market trends, competitor movement, and customer feedback to help shape growth strategy
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, job sites, trade events, and industry associations to strengthen market presence and uncover new opportunities
  • Support long-term territory and account planning with a focus on growing revenue, expanding relationships, and increasing market share in the offshore segment

A Few Qualifications

  • 8+ years of business development, sales, or commercial leadership experience with relevant equipment
  • Demonstrated success selling into marine, offshore, nearshore, or port infrastructure sectors
  • Experience with long sales cycles and technically complex equipment, systems, or services
  • Strong commercial instincts with proposal, negotiation, and contract experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and at a senior level with executives and other key decision makers
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to translate customer needs into practical equipment solutions
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
