We are looking for a self-driven Industrial Engineer to join a global road construction OEM at a growing U.S. manufacturing site. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll support new assembly line launches and drive continuous improvement across existing lines. This is a hands-on, shop-floor role focused on line setup, work instructions, process testing, and practical changes that improve flow, reduce downtime, and strengthen build consistency as additional lines come online throughout the year.
Your Mission:
- Support new assembly line launches, including line setup, readiness planning, and build support
- Develop and maintain work instructions and standardized work for new and existing lines
- Partner with production and quality to test processes, validate methods, and confirm build steps
- Improve throughput by analyzing layout, workstation design, tooling, and material presentation
- Identify recurring losses, bottlenecks, and quality issues, then lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Track key performance indicators and turn shop-floor observations into measurable improvements
- Support training and onboarding by ensuring documentation is clear, usable, and aligned across shifts
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to keep launches on schedule and minimize disruption during changeovers
- Contribute to ongoing plant maturity by standardizing processes as the site scales
A Few Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Experience supporting line launches, process improvement, or production industrialization work
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methods
- Experience creating work instructions, standardized work, or production documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
