Our client, an established equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to help improve the reliability, consistency, and overall performance of its equipment. This position blends hands-on engineering with product evaluation, manufacturing support, technical investigation, and design improvement, giving you exposure to equipment throughout its lifecycle.
This opportunity is especially well suited to an engineer who enjoys being close to the product. Rather than spending every day behind a desk, you will work directly with machines, components, production teams, and suppliers to understand where problems originate and help develop practical solutions. You will also contribute to engineering changes, inspection methods, production improvements, and the continued development of a more consistent manufacturing environment.
Your Mission
- Evaluate finished equipment and help confirm it meets established performance and quality expectations
- Investigate equipment, system, and component concerns to determine underlying causes and appropriate solutions
- Use dimensional inspection, scanning, and other metrology technologies to evaluate parts and assemblies
- Translate quality findings into engineering, manufacturing, and supplier improvements
- Contribute to mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical product enhancements
- Work with production, purchasing, engineering, and outside suppliers to resolve recurring concerns
- Support the development of fixtures, tooling, inspection methods, and manufacturing practices that improve repeatability
- Participate in prototype evaluation and validation of engineering changes
- Organize technical findings and communicate recommendations clearly across the business
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Interest in mobile machinery, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or similar engineered products
- Experience with SolidWorks or comparable 3D design software
- Comfortable working directly with machinery, components, inspection tools, and technical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with quality engineering, failure analysis, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement concepts
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively across engineering, production, purchasing, and supplier teams
