Our client, an established equipment dealership, is seeking a Sales Leader to guide commercial performance across a multi-location territory in the Northeast. Your ability to develop people, establish accountability, interpret market conditions, and turn business objectives into a focused sales strategy will be central to your success. By combining strong equipment knowledge with sound commercial judgment, clear communication, thoughtful decision-making, and a relationship-driven leadership style, you will help the team pursue new opportunities, strengthen customer loyalty, and deliver consistent, profitable growth across the region.

Your Mission

  • Set the commercial direction for equipment sales and rental activity across the region
  • Build an accountable sales culture centered on consistent, long-term performance
  • Coach sales professionals and help each team member improve their effectiveness
  • Strengthen the company’s presence through meaningful customer and industry relationships
  • Create consistent approaches to evaluating opportunities and developing key accounts
  • Use performance trends and market knowledge to guide planning and decision-making
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to align customer demand with business priorities
  • Help guide regional investments and identify opportunities for sustainable growth
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the territory to support employees and customers
  • Keep senior leadership informed of regional progress, challenges, and opportunities

A Few Qualifications

  • Successful sales leadership experience within the construction equipment, heavy machinery, or a related industry
  • Strong understanding of how equipment sales, rentals, and dealership operations work together
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales professionals and establish clear performance expectations
  • Experience managing commercial activity across multiple locations or a broad territory
  • Knowledge of revenue growth, profitability, market development, and sales planning
  • Ability to build credibility with customers, employees, and senior leaders
  • Capacity to balance strategic leadership with regular involvement in the field
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory
