Our client, a leading manufacturer in the heavy equipment industry, is seeking a Technical Service Trainer to help elevate the technical capabilities of its dealer network through engaging, hands-on instruction and professional development across excavators, cranes, and related heavy equipment.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong mechanical knowledge with a passion for coaching others. Rather than simply presenting technical information, you’ll help technicians build confidence, strengthen diagnostic skills, and apply best practices that improve equipment performance and customer support.
Working closely with technical and product support teams, you’ll develop modern training experiences that blend classroom instruction, practical demonstrations, and digital learning. You’ll also play an important role in keeping technical education aligned with new products, emerging technologies, and evolving service standards. Limited regional travel (up to 20%) is expected.
Your Mission
- Design and deliver technical training programs that support the ongoing development of dealer technicians.
- Lead engaging classroom, workshop, and virtual learning experiences for technicians with varying levels of experience.
- Develop training content that reflects current equipment technologies, service procedures, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrate mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic principles through practical, real-world instruction.
- Encourage participation and create an environment where technicians can confidently build their technical skills.
- Collaborate with engineering, product support, and service teams to ensure training remains accurate and relevant.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve course content and delivery methods.
- Support dealer readiness for new equipment introductions and evolving product technologies.
- Stay current on industry trends, equipment advancements, and diagnostic techniques to continually enhance training programs.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource while representing the organization professionally throughout the dealer network.
