Our client, a highly respected and well-established equipment dealer, is seeking a Branch Sales Manager to lead overall branch performance with a clear, sales-first mindset. This role is responsible for coaching and driving the sales team while partnering closely with mature parts and service operations to deliver a complete customer experience. Success requires a leader who brings energy, urgency, and a strong understanding of how to sell, while maintaining accountability for branch results and profitability. You will motivate the team to stay active in the field, sharpen deal strategy, and represent the branch as a trusted, solutions-focused partner to customers.
Your Mission
- Lead the branch’s sales performance and set a strong pace for activity, accountability, and results
- Coach, motivate, and develop the sales team through goal setting, consistent communication, and hands-on support
- Support active deals by shaping strategy, pressure-testing opportunities, and improving close plans
- Drive disciplined prospecting and pipeline management, with strong expectations around customer visits and road time
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, strengthening trust and expanding long-term business
- Develop and execute local market strategies that improve competitiveness and grow share
- Partner with parts, service, and rental leadership to align on customer priorities and branch execution
- Ensure a consistent customer experience from quote to delivery through ownership support
- Maintain ownership of branch performance and profitability through planning, forecasting, and expense awareness
- Use metrics and market insight to prioritize opportunities, adjust tactics, and improve results over time
- Serve as a creative solution finder for customer needs, leveraging internal resources to win and retain business
- Represent the branch at customer events and local industry activities to build presence and credibility
A Few Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience leading sales teams in an equipment, machinery, or dealership environment
- Demonstrated ability to coach a team, raise performance, and increase field activity
- Strong deal skills, including opportunity evaluation, solution structuring, and moving business to close
- Working understanding of parts, service, and rental operations and how to support a complete customer experience
- Strong business acumen with comfort using forecasts, margins, and performance metrics to guide decisions
- Confident communicator who builds trust with customers and can influence internal teams to execute quickly
