Our client, an established global manufacturer of agricultural machinery, is seeking its first General Manager to lead its recently established Canadian business. Based in Quebec, you will have the opportunity to build the commercial and operational foundation of an organization responsible for growing the manufacturer’s presence and supporting its dealer network throughout Canada.

You will bring bilingual communication skills, agricultural equipment knowledge, and an entrepreneurial approach to leading a small and developing team. This is a highly hands-on opportunity requiring you to personally contribute to dealer development and territory coverage while overseeing parts, service, technical support, human resources, and administration. You will complement the strengths of the existing commercial and technical team, create structure where it is needed, and remain highly active throughout the Canadian market.

Your Mission:

  • Lead the Canadian business across sales, dealer development, parts, service, technical support, human resources, and administration
  • Establish the processes, structure, and priorities required to support the business’s continued development
  • Build revenue and market presence by strengthening current dealers and developing qualified new dealer partners
  • Personally support territory coverage and dealer development in areas without dedicated representation
  • Work alongside the Territory Manager and technical team to coordinate commercial activity, product support, and dealer needs
  • Travel extensively throughout Canada to meet with dealers, customers, prospects, and employees
  • Lead the introduction and growth of new agricultural machinery products in the Canadian market
  • Ensure parts, service, and technical support capabilities develop alongside equipment sales
  • Identify future staffing needs and gradually build the commercial, product support, and operational organization
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, inventory requirements, operating expenses, and overall business performance
  • Create a collaborative culture built around open communication, accountability, adaptability, and mutual respect
  • Serve as the primary voice of the Canadian business when working with international leadership

A Few Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both French and English
  • Leadership experience within agricultural machinery, equipment dealerships, or a closely related industry
  • Experience developing dealers, covering sales territories, and building customer relationships
  • Broad understanding of equipment sales, parts, service, technical support, and business operations
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada while remaining connected to the Quebec-based team
