Our client, an established global manufacturer of agricultural machinery, is seeking a General Manager to lead its United States business. This hands-on position carries responsibility for a lean organization supporting the company’s dealer network through equipment sales, assembly, parts, service, technical support, and administration.

Your knowledge of agricultural machinery and dealer development will help you guide the U.S. business through its next phase of growth, including new product introductions, broader market coverage, and an expanding field team. You will combine commercial leadership and financial judgment with a consistent presence inside the business, spending meaningful time with employees while remaining active with dealers and Territory Managers. Your ability to lead with humility, fairness, accountability, and emotional intelligence will be essential to building the trust and stability needed for long-term performance.

Your Mission:

  • Lead the overall performance of the U.S. business across sales, dealer development, assembly, parts, service, technical support, and administration
  • Develop and execute a growth plan centered on increased revenue, new product introductions, stronger market coverage, and dealer expansion
  • Strengthen relationships with existing dealers while identifying and developing qualified new dealer partners
  • Travel with Territory Managers and product support personnel to support dealer relationships and improve field execution
  • Recruit, develop, and lead an expanding team of Territory Managers, Product Support Sales Representatives, technical employees, and internal personnel
  • Maintain a consistent presence at the U.S. facility, spending approximately half of your time working alongside the internal team
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability while creating a collaborative and respectful working environment
  • Align inventory, assembly, parts, service, and technical capabilities with commercial priorities and dealer needs
  • Use financial and operational information to guide decisions, manage resources, and improve profitability
  • Maintain close communication with international leadership while representing the needs and opportunities of the U.S. market

A Few Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience with an agricultural machinery manufacturer, equipment dealer organization, or closely related business
  • Demonstrated success growing sales, developing dealer networks, and leading field-based commercial teams
  • Experience overseeing multiple functions within an equipment sales and support organization
  • Financial understanding with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and profitability
  • Willingness to travel regularly while maintaining a dependable presence at the U.S. facility
